North Curry — Cornfields and Hay fields as far as you can see in just about any direction with cattle and sheep grazing, surrounded by a small village, filled with warm, friendly, and helpful people, and a couple of funny, cuddly dogs and a cat. This is what we love most about House and Pet sitting.
Below are a few pictures from our first week in North Curry. Place your cursor on the image to read the caption.
Yesterday John walked the dogs while Bev attended an art class, followed by tea at the North Curry Coffee house, also run by 70 volunteers. Over the past few years they have donated over 100,000 pounds to various charities chosen by the volunteers. This is quite an interesting community. And, the food at the Coffee House is also deliciously homemade. We have found win/win situations like these in virtually every community we have ever visited.
Best of all, this is just the beginning. We have been here less than a week.
Thanks again for joining us on the road.

Caring for two dogs in a small village in a foreign country
can be daunting. But, not for us. We have done it before,
As International Trusted House Sitters we get to make new friends with all sorts of critters. The best part, however, is making new human friends.
We have rented our home and rid ourselves of most of our “collection of stuff” so we could explore the world, unencumbered. Join us as we learn how to live like locals, throughout the world, without it costing a fortune.
