A Day at the Races

On the recommendation of our neighbor, Diana, we drove over to the Montague Inn, to check it out for our 31st anniversary lunch.

Luckily we met the owner, Sean O’Callahan. Not only did he make sure we were “properly” cared for, but he invited us to be his guests at the races at the Wincanton Racecourse.

It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day, finally. After taking Purdy and Lilly on a nice 1 + hour walk through the fields, we headed to Wincanton. It was another one of what Bev calls an “expected surprise”(more on “expected surprises” in another post).

We had so much fun meeting Sean’s wife, Susie, and his numerous friends and other guests at the Montague Inn’s private box. The free wine and food was a bonus.  Later, went down to the track for some photo’s.

It was a wonderful day. Today, we get to return to the Montague Inn for our fabulous lunch, accompanied by Purdy and Lilly, of course.

Life is grand, we are truly blessed.
